Jimmy & Scots
Folk Band

Get to know us.

Jimmy & Scots Folk Band was founded in 2013, born from the shared passion of two friends during a trip to Ireland, and has evolved over the years into a five-piece band. The project aims to blend elements of Celtic culture with a modern and distinctive folk-rock sound, combining original arrangements of traditional songs with the creation of new material.

Over the years, the band has performed at major festivals and events on the Italian Celtic music scene, including the Montelago Celtic Festival, while building an audience of around 100,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and making its first appearances on international stages.

Following the release of its self-produced debut album in 2019, the band signed with the record label Maxy Sound and, between 2023 and 2025, released one album and two EPs. The band is now preparing to present a new project bringing together the original material written so far, alongside the singles released between 2026 and 2027.

These works have earned the band numerous accolades at the Musica Celtica Music Awards and led to “Seven Irish Nights”, “The Viking Irishman” and “Beers and Reels” being included in the Irish Traditional Music Archive in Dublin, the world’s leading archive for Irish traditional music.

In 2026, the band won the European Celtic Contest, the prestigious competition that has showcased musical acts from across Europe for many years.
